12-15-24 "Don't You... Forget About Me"

Have you ever felt forgotten by God? Has God ever disappointed you with his action or inaction? Today is the Third Sunday of Advent when congregations around the world will light the rose colored "joy" candle. Two of our Scripture readings are explicitly about joy. But not the Gospel reading. Jesus hears from John the Baptist as he sits in prison. It seems like John is looking for Jesus to do something miraculous as he has done so many other times. But instead John must stay in the mess. How can we have joy when we feel completely forgotten by God? Join us as we explore this idea.
